Washington DC

So right after Jess hurt his knee we had plans to go visit my Father in Washington DC. Jess had never been there and was hoping to do some sight seeing but he was still waiting for knee surgery so he was a little slow to get around. Dad drove us around DC so we could see most of the monuments with out having to walk around too much. We also went to the lake house for some R & R. It rained alot so we were only able to go out on the boat one day then hang out at the house the rest of the time. It was the first time Jess had meet the Colonel, no worries I think it went well. We arrived at the airport where Dad picked us up. While we were walking to get luggage I introduced Dad to Jesse. Jesse quickly informed him we had just got married that morning!! I think Dad was in shock and didn't believe us, but he came around. Next to tell was Grandma H. I think she about had a heart attack and definitly didn't believe us! It took some time for her to believe that we really just up and decided to get married. Dang crazy kids!

Last Christmas we all went to Tiff and Jeremy's. We went tubing, skiing and build the worlds fattest snowman. I was really surprised Syd actually went down the tubing hill! She can be such a wimp sometimes. It was our first Christmas together so that made it kind of nice to be able to spend with the family. We left late at night when I got off work, unfortunately it was a blizzard! What should have been a 5 hour drive turned into 7 almost 8 hours of driving in the early morning. I thought we were going to die! j/k but it was really scary, good thing Jes was driving.

Jesse's Knee adventure

Here he is... superman! or so he thought! We went up to Idaho for a camping trip over memorial day weekend. We got in late on Friday night and Jesse was itching to go ride the new quad! So off he went before the West's arrived Saturday morning.Jesse headed out for a short trip before lunch, ALONE! Well 3 hours later there came Jesse on a razor with a nice older couple who found him lying in pain on the dunes. He had flown over the handle bars and messed himself up pretty bad. So we put the dogs in the trailer and headed to the Emergency room! We passed the West's on the way out of the camp site. 5 hours, lots of drugs and 10 stitches later we left the emergency room thankful Jesse only hurt his knees and not something more serious. We knew surgery would be in the future however we thought it would be for a torn ACL but turns out he only had his bone tore off by the ligament due to the force of the accident. So recovery time would be much less. We stayed for the rest of the weekend and tried to relax. Jess was drugged so he had a great time! Needless to say he didn't get to go riding for awhile

Skiing

Winter of 2008 was Syd's first time skiing!! She HATED every minute of it! She looked so cute in her new coat, gloves and pink Hat but she definitely didn't like ski school. her instructor was so patient too. She cried the entire time down the hill with the instructor. He finally gave up and came and found Aunt Tiffy who was watching from a distance. Mom then came and tried to take her down the hill which she did a little better with but I don't think she will be a professional skier any time in the future. She ended up going back to the rest of the class to finish her ski lesson. Needless to say she didn't pass the beginner class, she will be repeating it again this year.

LOLA!!!!

LOLA!!! We got a puppy!! Jesse bought syd a puppy for her 5th birthday! Holy cow look how cute she is! To bad she is a beast!! She likes to chew everything especially my shoes,mostly heels. Now that she is potty trained (finally) we need to get this chewing thing under control and she will be a good dog. Although I think Rico could do with out her most days!

Sand Dunes

Easter weekend at the dunes! Yes the Easter bunny did find us! This was the first family trip out with the new (old) trailor. Jesse bought this trailor in hopes of fixing it up. He is going to be fixing it up this winter so next summer should be a blast. For now it does the job.

Oh where to start??

Jesse and I met online on match.com! We were a match made in heaven...lol. I still can't believe that is how we met but from the moment we did we didn't want to separate! So here we are a year and a half later married, starting our life together! It's been a fun ride and I am sure there is much more in store.
